1. Here is one trend from Memorial Day Weekend that we hopes continues on for the rest of summer… Printed Shorts

Cult of Individuality has done it again with these  Cult printed corduroy  shorts which come in three different colors! They have just the right amount of stretch so you can play an impromptu game of volleyball on the beach or dance the night away with friends. Just pair these shorts with a simple tee or cropped tank for the daytime and throw on your favorite leather jacket for night! Don’t forget to accessorize! Shoes and jewelry are important to make the look complete. How would you wear these shorts or any printed shorts?

  2. Memorial Day Weekend is almost here!

  3. With summer around the corner we are seeing a big trend of stripes and graphic tees. Both are easy to pair from shorts to skirts and can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Which has us wondering… which will be the bigger trend? Stripes or Graphics tees?

    What do you think?

    1. Exotic Skins

Accessories in unconventional fabrics are all the rage this summer. A statement clutch can transform a simple outfit into an artfully crafted ensemble. Try the trend with Khirma Eliazov’s Lindsay Clutch, available in a variety of colors to satisfy your wardrobe’s needs.

    2. Printed Denim

This summer’s must-try denim trend is printed and bright, and makes a statement all on its own. Try the look with Cult of Individuality’s Rogan Capri in Liquid. Pair with a slinky white tee and sandals and you’re out the door with a look that is both cool and casual!

    3. Statement Jewels

Sometimes a little sparkle can go a long way, so set yourself apart with this eye catching piece by Gemma Simone. Every outfit needs a finishing touch, and this necklace is the perfect compliment for your summer wardrobe. Dress it up for cocktails with the girls, or dress it down with your favorite swimsuit cover up.

    4. Edgy Maxi Dress

This year’s maxi dress gets a little edge with thigh high slits to show off your tanned and toned legs! 12. Every Friday here at 5th & Beverly we try to showcase both up & coming and established fashion bloggers for our readers. Reading fashion blogs is a serious past time for us at EFGPR and we love to share what’s on our bookmarks menu.

Today’s featured blogger is Sara Dinkin of Fancy Hipster! She’s a wardrobe stylist turned blogger that makes every head turn when she walks into a room! Her flair for the dramatic and eye for edgy details is what keeps us coming back to her blog again and again!

When and why did you start your blog?
I came up with “Fancy Hipster” a couple years back. I really started devoting more time to it within the last year. I started my blog because I originally was using it to share with my friends, that expanded and it eventually became more of  lifestyle diary for all public.
What does blogging mean to you?
To me blogging is about developing my own niche, and trying to be a creator. I want girls to look to my blog for inspiration and as a guide to picking out their wardrobe. To me blogging is fun, it’s a great way to meet new faces and work with extremely talented tastemakers.

What inspires you most? Get creative!
I am most inspired when I am traveling and in nature. I look at different color palettes, architecture, animals, etc.

What makes you stand out as a blogger? I would have to say the fact that I am not afraid to take risks with patterns, colors, and things others may say “no” to. I’d also have to say just the mere fact that I like having fun with my blog and don’t take things too seriously.

What do you see as the top trends for spring?
Prints, on prints, on prints, holographic textures, crazy eyewear, colored lucite, etc.
When you’re not blogging, what are you doing?
Wardrobe Styling for clients, nursing my shopping addiction, going on hikes, basking in the sun at the beach.

    Who’s your blogger crush?
I would have to say Man Repeller, not only do I repel somewhat like she does in my wardrobe, but the girl really has a head on her shoulders.

What advice do you give to up and coming bloggers?
Blogging is extremely time consuming, just know that if you really want to choose this as a career! Join almost every social networking site out there, network with whomever you know, and always be nice :).
Best piece of advice someone gave you.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

    Confucius
